The 26th edition of this classic tournament, which runs alongside our International, took place today, Saturday, with 133 players from 24 countries taking part. The Polish player, Szymon Zajac, was crowned champion.
In the Elo groups, Sebastian Mokhber-Garcia won the 2100–2200 group, Rodolfo Alonso Piñero the 1950–2099 group, Dinmukhammed Makhanbetali in the 1800–1949 bracket, Prasad Shitiz in the 1800–1949 bracket, and Yian (Sh) Chen in the under-1649 Elo bracket.
The top female player was Yian (Sh) Chen, AIM David Steiner was the top U18 player, and the top S60 player was Carlos Alonso González. Finally, the top player from Club Escacs Sant Martí was Evarist Pérez Pastora.
The tournament was won by Szymon Zajac, who was joined on the podium by AIM David Steiner and FM Albert Castillo Dalmau.
